Design our 2024 Festival Poster
What we’re looking for
Submit your design for the Stirling Photography Festival 2024 poster competition. All entries will be showcased at our open exhibit at the Barracks Conference Center, Stirling.
We’ve previously worked with artists, illustrators, print makers and photographers who have brought our theme to life over the years. Now its your turn! This year’s theme is Roots & Rituals, what will you come up with? Find out more, get inspired and submit your entry on our website.

Submit your entry
To get involved please email your submission to: submit@stirlingphotographyfestival.co.uk by 12 noon on the 28th June.
In your email please include your full name, contact number, email address and details of what and where you are studying. Let us know what inspired your design, how our theme ‘Roots & Rituals’ spoke to you and why you chose the medium you created your design in.

Terms and conditions
Number of entries - Only one entry will be considered per person.
Along with your poster we require this additional information:
Your name – the name you wish to be used when referencing your piece of work.
Title – you may wish to give your piece of work a title.
Contact details – an email and phone number to help us get in touch with entries about the winner the exhibition.
Additional Links - your social media links and website, should you have any you wish to share.
Submission - Entry needs to be submitted by the 28th June 2024 at 12:00 noon (extended from the 7th June 2024) via the submission email. contact@stirlingphotographyfestival.co.uk. We can only accept digital entries via the submission email at this time.
Open to All - Our poster competitions open to all high school, college and university students and recent graduates.
Own Work - All submissions entered must be entirely your own work. Whole pieces of work should not created with Ai programs. We discourage you from submitting Ai altered images, but using Ai tools in the editing process is acceptable within reason.
Format - We welcome posters created in all media. They must be submitted in digital format suitable for at a minimum size of A3, portrait orientation, with a dpi of 300. Original artworks should be scanned or photographed and submitted on line.
Selection Decision - The final decision will be made by the Stirling Photography Festival Creative Team. They will have the final decision on entries.
Exhibition - All entries will be displayed at our exhibition at The Barracks Conference Centre, Stirling. Work must be deemed suitable for exhibition in public places and any piece of work considered inappropriate will be excluded from our exhibition.
Changing your Entry - If you wish to alter your submission, please contact us via email at contact@stirlingphotographyfestival.co.uk - Marking your entry RESUBMISSION.
Image Permissions - All entries in the 2024 competition will be used in the promotion of the competition, exhibition and wider festival events across social media, printed media, promotion and fund raising for the festival. By taking part and submitting your entry you give full consent for the images to be used in this way. All sales proceeds from the limited edition run will go to the Stirling Photographs Festival.
Winning entry - Our winning design will be awarded a prize to the value of £100 which will include Made in Stirling Vouchers.* Our runners up will also receive Made in Stirling vouchers.
